Waiting for tomorrow

Waiting for Tomorrow

The sun beams drifts in
It hurts, I blink my eyes in pain
Perhaps the rays are trying to penetrate the gloom, within;
The pigeons coo
It hurts, the 'coos' resound
The echo inside my head sounds like erratic thunder;
A waft of music floats my way
Adrift on a rare summer breeze
I try to block out the sound;

Tomorrow will be another day
I shall happily reach out to welcome the sun beams
I shall let pigeon's coos ease my troubled thoughts
I shall let my soul rejoice to unexpected music
For now, I shall wait, for tomorrow
I hope it comes soon.

Dear Lubna,

Have Faith in Tomorrow. As Scarlett O'Hara said so famously in 'Gone With The Wind': "After all, tomorrow is another day.....".

Warm regards,

Geetha
