Dear Readers,
How has 2010 treated you? For me it was largely a mixed bag.
But let me just feature the good. The last blog post of 2010 should end on a nice note.
1) Moved back to Mumbai: Hurrah!. It is close to a year since we moved back. All said and done while Bangalore was a nice place to spend a few years in, there is nothing quite like one's home town. Walking on the familiar streets of Mumbai is sheer bliss.
2) Raised funds for Room to Read. The fund raising at my employer organisation is ongoing. Hopefully I shall get a cheque to give to Room to Read, in January.
3) Learnt to slow down. There is always a silver lining somewhere. I am now working part time and am actually learning to have a life, other than a working life.
4) Complete a decade as a columnist with The Economic Times. I upload my monthly columns on my other blog: Talking Tax.
5) Made new friends: Both at the workplace and in cyberspace.
6) Went on vacation to Aurangabad: The highlight here was meeting Rani - an adorable doggie, who is now part of the hotel management's team at Lemon Tree Aurangabad. Not to mention the peace that I found in the several Sufi shrines I visited at Khuldabad.
Would you like to share, how 2010 treated you?
Wishing you happy festivities and a great 2011. See you in blogsphere in the New Year.
Warm regards,
Lubna

Hi Lu, you've always come across as a positive person so felt good to read all the rewind. I stayed at the Lemon Tree in Ahmedabad and it was a pleasant surprise esp their effort to create a eco friendly environment.
Have a great Christmas with close ones.
It sounds like 2010 was a good, growing year for you Lubna! :o) For me it's been a tough year actually, dealing with illness myself, and my father had a heart attack in the spring (which he has recovered from thankfully!), I closed my online shop which had been a big part of my life for 4 years. But now channeling creative energy elsewhere, which feels good. I'm looking forwards to the fresh start of a new year. Happy Days & wishing you all the very best in 2011! :o)
Hi Lubna,
2010 has been an eventful year for you - beautifully balanced. It was the learning to slow down and working part-time which I marveled at. It's so important in this fast paced life to have some quality time available to explore and do what we really want to do.
Thanks for sharing. My 2010 was trying to make every day a joyful one :)
I am glad 2010 was a good year for you. Not so much for me, mom had a stroke and my Mr. B passed away, but I am hoping for a great new year. Happy Holidays Lubna! xoxo
Just stopping by to wish you the happiest of new years. Take care, my friend.
