A handful of stones

Dear Readers

Fiona, published my "small stone", on her blogzine aptly called A Handful of Stones (Look up June 11). I had penned this a long time ago, but there is a long waiting list. I guess the open sky which I blogged about in my last post, does mean a lot to me.

She delightfully captures the concept of a small stone: A small stone is a polished moment of paying proper attention.

Fresh sterile sheets
Antiseptics, IV fluids, PAIN
An open window
Birds soaring high
Hope of freedom

Have a nice weekend.

Best regards,
Lubna

Lubna,

Your words have such deep meaning. It is 'Hope' that keeps us going in extreme tough times. Along with 'Faith' the impossible becomes possible.

Inspiring! Thank you.

Dilip

Hello, Lubna! Many thanks for visiting me and joining in on my blogiversary fun this weekend. It is very nice to meet you and find your creative space here. I love writing, and feel a good affinity here at your blog. Wonderful news on your poem of hope getting exposure--Big CONGRATS! The images this brief poems conjures are big. And strike a chord with me just now. My father just lately had a heart attack... He is doing well. But we hang on to HOPE that all will continue to be well. Thank you for the inspiration here. :o)

I think you are very good at the small stones of life; at paying proper attention.

Thank you! I love stones, a handful or just one small stone. As a dear friend said to me, "They are just nice to have around." I remember you, Glen.
