Feedback, especially negative feedback can sometimes be difficult to stomach. Well, you do need to take a step back and think rationally. Is there an element of truth in it? Better still, why wait for the 360 degree feedback process. Take a few minutes each day, to reflect on your actions that day. What were you proud of? What did you do to make the day better for someone else? What is it, that pained you and caused pain to others? Reflecting will tell you a lot of truth about yourself. These few minutes will be a valuable investment, forever.

this reflection photo is so beautiful !!
good advice
Lubna,
How beautifully you express a concept as deep as the value of 'reflection' through this lovely picture. You are so creative.
You say "feedback, especially negative feedback can sometimes be difficult to stomach'. True! but rationality and logic may lead to argument which will generate negative energy - this is what my mentor says!
His prescription is go beyond logic to humility - respond with a kind and genuine 'smile'.
Internally thank the person for criticizing you and giving you the opportunity to grow! I admit it is not easy at all! But worth a try!
Thanks for this lovely post! :)
Dilip
Dilip Sir, You have a wise mentor. But only the great can be humble, I am still learning.
beautiful, both the photograph n the write up
The write up is as beautiful as the photograph.
Very well said, Once we learn the art of seeing yourself then no commandments or holy books is required in this world to be happy :)
cheers
Ravi
I cannot provide myself any feedback for the day, as my day is just beginning. But, I can offer some to you..this photograph is absolutely beautiful!!! What a peaceful scene.

Hi Lubna,
You've got a great blog here. I read a few of your posts and they are really good!
Thought I will let you that I have uploaded the video from the book reading event on my blog (also on Youtube).
Regards
If we could be just in the moment of action, we wouldn't have any problems ever with anything. That self control in THAT moment indeed makes the difference.
Too bad I couldnt see the pic from here. I will check it from my room later in the night.
